Thistle Port Dickson Resort and Spa

Port Dickson is a town on Malaysia's west coast, in the state of Negeri Sembilan. A neighbour to Sepang, which is where our Kuala Lumpur International Airport is, Port Dickson have a very busy sky, much to my boys' delight since planes sighting is one of their favourite activity. They are OBSESSED with planes. But then, I guess, most kids are. Right? Or is it just my kids? Nah! I'm pretty sure most kids are.

OK, back to the real story. Port Dickson is a home to many family-friendly hotels. And one of them is Thistle Port Dickson Resort & Spa. Situated at the Teluk Kemang beach, Thistle Port Dickson have all the right things to make a kid happy. Big pools, fun water slides, huge compound for those energizer bunnies to run around, cool playroom and a LEGO room. Also, I think they're in the process of putting together a small petting zoo.

Oh, don't worry. Thistle offers nice things for grown ups too. They have an infinity pool for adults only. A pool table, a golf course, and of course, a spa should you need to be rub and scrub for the day. Really, they have it all.

Huge pools... Yes, pools!

The Deluxe room was sufficient enough to accommodate our little family. It got two double beds that were pushed together with a window bed overlooking the ocean. The room comes with a balcony. Other facilities includes a mini fridge, a kettle, an iron and an ironing board.

Everything was nice and cool except for the bathroom though, which in my opinion could use a good scrub here and there. I'm very particular when it comes to bathrooms. But hey, ain't we all?

The pool was perfect, however. Clean, and big. They have at least one lifeguard on duty the whole time we were there. My boys spent hours splashing about and going on the slides. There were a little bit of drama when I wanted to get them out of the pool however, because obviously a whole day in the pool was simply not enough, right? How inconsiderate of me.

As if the pools were not enough, now they're off to the beach.

When we were there, the lifeguard put up the red flag which means the beach is not very safe to swim in at the moment. The tide was stronger than usual that day. But you can still hang out and kids can still play with the sand. Or, if your kids are like mine, they just ran back into the pool. I lost a few kilos trying to keep up with them during our stay here, I kid you not!

All and all, I would say Thistle Port Dickson is definitely a cool family hotel. And if they work on that scrubbing the bathroom thingy, I would say, it is a PERFECT family hotel.
