A glimpse on Putrajaya

Putrajaya is Malaysia's third and latest Federal Territory, and also the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. You can find most of the federal government offices here.

During the day, Putrajaya can be very busy. Lots of cars driving around. But it could get very quiet at night. Because that's what Putrajaya mostly is, the home to the government offices. Sure, there are hotels here, though for entertainments or malls, you're gonna have to drive a bit to it's neighbouring town, Cyberjaya.

I tend to hang out in Putrajaya a lot, since my husband often have work meetings here.

Putrajaya

One of my favourite hang out spot here is near the Monumen Alaf Baru (Millennium Monument) which is the national monument. Situated next to the 650 hectares man-made Putrajaya lake, there's plenty of ground to take a stroll, ride bicycle and for kids to run around. And when I say kids, I meant my kids. Of course, other people's kids can run around too... If they must. Ok, I'm just babbling.

Run Forest, run!

There is also a tethered hot air balloon here, a sure nice way to get that 360° view of Putrajaya. Don't worry, it's safe for little children. Just be sure to listen to the instructions.

Oh, and if you're not very big on walking or  cycling but still want to explore Putrajaya, for RM15 you can do your sightseeing in a cruise. Enjoy the calm and serene lake on the open deck.

Serene, right?

I personally love staying in Putrajaya because after office hour the place turns quiet and calm. It's fun to drive around here in the evening when all the government offices are closed.

Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin is another favourite spot of mine. Also known as the Iron Mosque (Masjid Besi), this magnificent mosque have an amazing looking structure with big garden.

Inside the mosque is amazing too, very shiny and big.

Anyway, one of the hotel that have the best view here would be Pullman Putrajaya.

Another hotel with cool views in my opinion is the Dorsett Putrajaya which is situated in front of the Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. I strongly suggest the room with balcony facing the lake.

Being only 20 minutes away from the airport, Putrajaya have a busy sky. Planes are always flying about here much to the children's delight.

So, I guess that's all for now about Putrajaya. If you've never been and looking for an easy day, do come here and check it out.
