We started day 3 with breakfast at the restaurant next door to the J Suites Hotel. Since hubby dear was done with his work, he will be joining us with our quest of exploring Kuala Terengganu. Yeay!

The sweet soothing bubbly teh tarik for breakfast. |
First stop was the Crystal Mosque. Located at the Islamic Heritage Park on the island of Wan Man. This mosque is made of steel, glass and crystal giving a super grand look.

The boys begged us to go the Teluk Ketapang beach again, so we just went along with it. Hey, it's a vacation, right.

My boys |
The waves were way stronger today for some reason, it was hypnotizing. Anyway, from there, we decided to go check out the Pantai Penarik. It took us 30 minutes of driving to get there.

Pantai Penarik aka Penarik Beach |
We picked the liveliest looking restaurants by the beach to try the sotong (squid) celup tepung and udang (prawn) celup tepung.

Dining by the beach |
For the squid, they charge RM9 per 100 grams... And for the prawn, the price depends on the size of the prawns. For the smallest prawns, you'll get 45 pieces of yummy crunchy prawns for the low low price of RM10.
Now that we have squids and prawns swimming in our tummies, we made our way to the Pasar Payang. Pasar Payang is definitely the place you should go if you're looking for a super cheap local made stuff such as batik, silk, songket, spices, fish crackers, and many many more. Keyword, cheap cheap cheap. Most accept credit card in here. And don't forget to haggle. It is a must here. People expect you too. They will be totally weirded out if you don't. So, haggle away!

The glorious pasar Payang |
However, I should also tell you that Pasar Payang is hot hot hot inside. Not a fun place if you're dragging 3 kids with you. And no, kids do not like Pasar Payang at all. Which is the reason why I have no pictures of the inside of Pasar Payang. We did not stay long in there. We came, walked really fast, and get out. Yup, such a shame. Oh well... Maybe when the kids are bigger and I can leave them in the hotel by themselves. Ha!
Pasar Payang was our last stop for the day. By that time it was already 5, so we head back to the hotel, took a shower and take it easy for the rest of the evening.
